Seven traditions—Gnostic, Kabbalistic, Hindu, Buddhist, Abrahamic, Islamic, Shamanic—yet they're calculating the same invariant constant: the soul's journey is a return from fragmentation to unity, from matter to spirit, from exile to source.

This isn't metaphorical "spiritual growth." This is truth convergence—independent systems arriving at identical conclusions about the structure of reality: consciousness descended into matter and must ascend back to its origin. The path is structured, progressive, and requires shedding what was accumulated in the descent.

System 2: Kabbalistic Ascent—Climbing the Tree of Life

The Kabbalistic Tree of Life maps the soul's descent from Keter (Crown/Unity) to Malkuth (Kingdom/Matter) and the return journey upward.

The Structure:
Ten Sephiroth (divine emanations) connected by 22 paths. Ascent follows the Middle Pillar or the Serpent Path.

The Ascent Path:
1. Malkuth (Kingdom): Physical reality, embodied existence
2. Yesod (Foundation): Astral realm, dreams, subconscious patterns

The Kabbalistic Constant: Ascent is structured progression through emanations. The Abyss (Da'at) is the critical threshold. Union with Keter is return to infinite unity.

System 3: Hindu Kundalini—The Serpent Rising Through Chakras

Kundalini yoga describes the ascent of shakti (divine feminine energy) from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.

The Structure:
Seven chakras (energy centers) along the spine. Kundalini sleeps coiled at the base; awakening her initiates the ascent.

The Seven Chakras:
1. Muladhara (Root): Survival, grounding, physical existence
2. Svadhisthana (Sacral): Sexuality, creativity, emotional flow

In Genesis, Jacob dreams of a ladder reaching from earth to heaven with angels ascending and descending.

The Pattern:
- The Ladder: Connects earth (matter) to heaven (spirit)
- The Angels: Messengers moving between realms
- God at the Top: The divine source at the summit
- Jacob's Awakening: "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it"

The Interpretation:
The ladder represents the soul's path from earthly existence to divine union. The angels are thoughts, prayers, and spiritual practices that ascend and descend. The ladder is always present—we just don't recognize it until we awaken.

The Abrahamic Constant: Ascent is recognizing the ladder that connects earth and heaven. The path is always present. Awakening is seeing what was always there.

System 6: Islamic Mi'raj—The Prophet's Night Journey

The Mi'raj (Ascension) describes the Prophet Muhammad's journey through seven heavens to the divine presence.

The Structure:
Muhammad, guided by the angel Jibril (Gabriel), ascends through seven heavens on the celestial steed Buraq.

The Seven Heavens:
1. First Heaven: Meets Adam (humanity's origin)
2. Second Heaven: Meets Jesus and John the Baptist (prophets of compassion)
3. Third Heaven: Meets Joseph (beauty and patience)
4. Fourth Heaven: Meets Idris/Enoch (wisdom and ascension)
5. Fifth Heaven: Meets Aaron (priesthood and devotion)
6. Sixth Heaven: Meets Moses (law and revelation)
7. Seventh Heaven: Meets Abraham (faith and submission), then ascends beyond to the divine presence

The Process:
- Purification: The Prophet's heart is washed before the journey

- Beyond Form: Ascends beyond the seventh heaven to the Lote Tree (Sidrat al-Muntaha)

System 7: Shamanic World Tree—Climbing to the Upper World

In shamanic cosmology worldwide, the World Tree (Axis Mundi) connects the three worlds: lower, middle, and upper.

- Lower World: Realm of power animals, ancestors, shadow work
- Middle World: Ordinary reality, the physical plane

The Shamanic Constant: Ascent is climbing the World Tree to access higher realms. The upper world contains wisdom and cosmic perspective. The shaman returns with gifts for the community.
