When children with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, or other learning differences know they're valuable regardless of academic performance - when learning disabilities are differences not deficits - they develop internal locus and self-acceptance. When worth depends on grades and traditional academic success, they develop external locus, shame, and lost potential. Your job is to teach: "You learn differently. That's okay.
