The Strength Meditation: Guided Journey
Grounding and Opening (5 minutes)
Close your eyes and bring awareness to your breath. Inhale courage, exhale fear. Continue until you feel centered and calm.
Imagine yourself in a beautiful garden—peaceful, safe, filled with flowers. This is your inner sanctuary, where your true strength resides.
Feel your inner power gathering in your heart—a warm, golden light of courage and compassion. This is your strength. This is your power.
You are ready to meet your lion.
Meeting Your Lion (5 minutes)
In your mind's eye, see a lion approaching. This is your lion—your fears, your passions, your wild nature, everything you've been afraid to face.
The lion is powerful and magnificent. It could be dangerous. But you are not afraid.
Strength speaks through you: "I see you, lion. I am not afraid of you. I will not fight you. I will love you."
The lion stops. It looks at you with recognition. It has been waiting for this moment—waiting for you to approach with love instead of fear.
What does your lion look like? What does it represent? Name it silently.
Taming with Love (7 minutes)
Slowly, gently, approach your lion. Feel the golden light of courage in your heart growing stronger, warmer, brighter.
Strength speaks: "I tame you not with force, but with love. I master you not through violence, but through compassion. I am not your enemy—I am your friend."
Reach out your hand. Touch the lion's mane. Feel its power, its strength, its wild nature. This is part of you. This is your power too.
The lion leans into your touch. It submits willingly to your gentle strength. No force needed. No violence required. Just love, patience, and the quiet confidence of someone who knows their own power.
Gently, lovingly, close the lion's mouth with your hands. Feel its surrender. Feel your mastery. This is Strength.
The lion is tamed. The beast is yours. Your fear has become your ally.
Claiming Your Courage (5 minutes)
The lion lies down at your feet, calm and peaceful. You have tamed it with love.
Strength speaks: "This is your power. This courage is yours. This gentle strength is real. You can face anything with love and patience."
Feel the golden light in your heart expanding, filling your entire body. This is your inner strength. This is your courage. This is your power.
What will you do with this strength? What fear will you face? What challenge will you overcome?
The lion looks at you with love and loyalty. It is yours now. Your fear has become your strength.
Integration (3 minutes)
Thank your lion. Thank Strength. Thank yourself for having the courage to tame with love instead of force.
The garden is always there. The lion is always yours. The strength is always available—when you're ready to approach with love.
Return (2 minutes)
Slowly bring awareness back to your physical body. Feel your breath. Feel your seat. Feel the courage still glowing in your heart.
The lion is tamed. The strength is yours. The only question is: what will you do with this gentle power?
When you're ready, open your eyes. Notice how you feel. You should feel more courageous, more powerful, more gentle.
