Lammas Magic: Abundance Spells and Grain Manifestation
BY NICOLE LAU
Harnessing Harvest Power
Lammas is one of the most powerful times for abundance magic. The first harvest is ready, Leo's generous fire amplifies prosperity work, Lugh's blessing is available, and the energy of gratitude and celebration creates perfect conditions for manifestation. Spells performed on Lammas carry the power of the grain and the sun god's favor.

Abundance and Prosperity Spells
The Grain Abundance Spell
Materials: Small jar, wheat or other grain, coins, citrine or aventurine, honey, gold ribbon.
Process: Fill jar with grain. Add coins and crystal. Drizzle honey over all. Speak: "As grain multiplies from single seed, so abundance flows to me. Lugh, bless this spell. May prosperity grow like the harvest. For the highest good. Harm to none." Seal jar. Tie gold ribbon around it. Shake daily while visualizing abundance. Keep on altar or in workspace. When abundance manifests, scatter grain for birds with gratitude.
The Bread Prosperity Spell
Materials: Bread dough (homemade or store-bought), honey, cinnamon, coins.
Process: As you knead dough, visualize prosperity flowing to you. Add honey and cinnamon. Shape into round loaf (sun symbol). Press coins into bottom before baking (remove before eating). As it bakes, speak: "As this bread rises, so rises my fortune. As it feeds me, so am I nourished by abundance. Blessed be." Eat bread mindfully, recognizing it as prosperity made manifest. Share with others to multiply blessings.
The Harvest Manifestation Spell
For manifesting what you've been working toward.
Materials: Paper and pen, corn dolly or wheat stalks, gold candle, tiger's eye.
Process: Light candle on Lammas. Write what you want to harvest (goals achieved, projects completed, abundance received). Be specific. Hold paper and crystal. Speak: "I have planted seeds through my efforts. Now I call in the harvest. What I have worked for comes to fruition. Lugh, bless my harvest. So mote it be." Tie paper to corn dolly or wrap in wheat. Place on altar with crystal. Leave until manifestation occurs, then burn paper with gratitude.
Success and Achievement Magic
The Skill Mastery Spell
Honoring Lugh, master of all skills.
Materials: Item representing your skill (pen for writing, paintbrush for art, etc.), carnelian, gold candle.
Process: Light candle. Hold tool and crystal. Speak: "Lugh SamildΓ‘nach, master of all skills, bless my craft. Guide my hands and inspire my heart. May I achieve mastery. May my work bear fruit. Hail Lugh!" Keep crystal with your tools. Practice your skill on Lammas with full devotion. Offer your best work to Lugh.
The Success Spell
Materials: Bay leaves, pen, gold candle, citrine.
Process: Write goal on bay leaf. Light candle. Hold leaf over flame (carefully) until it catches fire. Drop into fireproof bowl. As it burns, speak: "Success is mine. My efforts bear fruit. I achieve my goals. Blessed be." Keep ashes with citrine on altar. When success manifests, scatter ashes outdoors with thanks.
Gratitude Magic
The Gratitude Amplification Spell
Gratitude attracts more abundance.
Materials: Gold candle, amber or citrine, paper and pen.
Process: Light candle. Write everything you're grateful for. Read list aloud with genuine feeling. Hold crystal to heart. Speak: "I am grateful for all I have received. My gratitude multiplies my blessings. Abundance flows to me because I recognize and honor it. Thank you, thank you, thank you." Keep list on altar. Add to it daily. This creates abundance consciousness.
Sharing and Generosity Magic
The Generous Harvest Spell
Leo's generosity and harvest sharing.
Materials: Food to share (bread, produce, etc.), gold ribbon.
Process: Tie ribbon around food. Speak: "As I share, so am I blessed. As I give, so do I receive. Generosity multiplies abundance. May all be fed. May all prosper." Give food to someone in need, food bank, or community meal. This creates reciprocity and attracts more abundance.
Working with Lugh's Energy
The Lugh Empowerment Spell
Visualization: Close eyes. Visualize Lugh as radiant sun god, golden and powerful. See him holding his spear, master of all skills. He points spear at you, sending golden light. Feel his power flowing into you. Speak: "Lugh, I receive your blessing. I am skilled. I am successful. I am abundant. Hail Lugh!" Use this before any abundance work or when you need confidence and skill.
Corn Dolly Magic
The Prosperity Dolly
Process: Create corn dolly on Lammas. As you weave, visualize prosperity. Speak: "I weave abundance into my life. I capture the harvest spirit. Prosperity dwells here." Place coins, herbs, or written intentions inside dolly. Keep on altar or in home. Next Lammas, burn or bury it, releasing the energy, and make a new one.
Grain Multiplication Magic
The Seed Spell
Materials: Seeds (wheat, sunflower, or any grain), small pot, soil.
Process: Hold seeds. Speak: "From one seed comes many. From small beginning comes great harvest. As these seeds multiply, so does abundance in my life." Plant seeds. Tend them daily. As they grow, your abundance manifests. When they produce seeds, save some for next year's spell, continuing the cycle.
Timing Your Magic
Lammas Day (August 1st): Peak power for all harvest magic. Sunrise: New beginnings, calling in abundance. Midday: Peak solar power, maximum manifestation. Afternoon: Baking bread magic, creative spells. Sunset: Gratitude, sealing spells. Night: Celebrating manifestation.
Ethical Abundance Magic
Always include: "For the highest good," "Harm to none," "This or something better." Work for abundance, not greed. Share your prosperity generously. Give thanks and make offerings to Lugh. Support others' success too. Remember: true abundance includes everyone.
After the Spell
Release attachment to outcome. Trust Lugh and the harvest. Take practical action toward your goals. Watch for opportunities and synchronicities. Give thanks when abundance manifests. Make offerings to Lugh in gratitude. Share your harvest with others.

Lammas magic teaches that abundance is our birthright, that what we work for comes to fruition, that gratitude multiplies blessings, and that Lugh's power supports our success.
