The Buck Moon: July's Full Moon
The Buck Moon is July's full moon, named for the time when male deer (bucks) grow their new antlers. Rising during the height of summer when nature is at peak vitality and growth, this moon carries the energy of strength, growth, vitality, masculine power, and reaching full potential. The Buck Moon appears when summer is in full swing, when growth is visible everywhere, and when life expresses maximum vigor. It's a moon of power, expansion, and claiming your strength.
This full moon illuminates midsummer—bucks with antlers growing, plants at full height, days long and warm, energy abundant, and nature displaying its power. July is the month of peak summer, when everything that's been growing reaches impressive size and strength. The Buck Moon invites us to grow into our power, to claim our strength, to expand our reach, and to express our vitality fully. Like bucks that grow impressive antlers each year, this moon reminds us that growth and power are natural, cyclical, and meant to be displayed.
