Do you constantly seek advice from others because you don't trust yourself? Second-guess every decision? Feel disconnected from your own wisdom? Your inner voice isn't goneβit's just been drowned out by external noise. This Inner Guidance Practice will help you hear it again.
What Is Your Inner Voice?
Your inner voice (also called intuition, inner knowing, or soul wisdom) is your direct connection to divine truth. It's not your thoughts, your fears, or your conditioningβit's the quiet knowing that comes from your soul.
What Inner Guidance Is NOT:
- Not your anxiety: Fear-based thoughts are not guidance
- Not your ego: The voice that needs to be right or look good
- Not others' opinions: Even well-meaning advice isn't your truth
- Not your conditioning: What you were taught to believe
What Inner Guidance IS:
- Quiet knowing: Calm, neutral, matter-of-fact
- Body-based: Felt in your gut, heart, or whole being
- Consistent: The same message, again and again
- Expansive: Opens possibilities, even if uncomfortable
- Timeless: No urgency, just clarity
Why You Can't Hear Your Inner Voice
You were born with perfect inner guidance. Then the world taught you to distrust it.
What Silences Your Inner Voice:
- External validation addiction: You need others to tell you what's right
- Overthinking: Your rational mind drowns out subtle knowing
- Trauma: Past experiences taught you your instincts are wrong
- Constant noise: No silence or stillness to hear the whisper
- Fear of being wrong: Paralyzed by the need for certainty
- Disconnection from body: Living in your head, ignoring somatic wisdom
Your inner voice never left. You just stopped listening.
The Inner Guidance Practice: 7 Steps to Reconnection
Step 1: Create Sacred Silence (Daily)
Your inner voice can't compete with constant noise. You need regular silence.
Practice: 10 minutes daily of complete silence. No phone, no music, no distractions. Just sit and be. This is non-negotiable.
Step 2: Drop into Your Body
Inner guidance speaks through your body, not just your mind.
Practice: Body scan meditation. Close your eyes. Slowly scan from head to toe. Notice sensations without judgment. Your body knows things your mind doesn't.
Step 3: Ask Clear Questions
Vague questions get vague answers. Be specific.
Instead of: "What should I do?"
Ask: "Is [specific option] aligned with my highest good?"
Practice: Write your question clearly. Then sit in silence and wait for the answer. Don't force it.
Step 4: Distinguish Inner Voice from Fear
This is the hardest part. Here's how to tell the difference:
| Inner Voice | Fear/Ego |
|---|---|
| Calm, neutral | Urgent, panicked |
| Expansive | Contracting |
| Consistent | Changes constantly |
| Body relaxes | Body tenses |
| "This is the way" | "You must do this NOW" |
| Peaceful certainty | Anxious certainty |
Practice: When you get a "hit," check: Does my body relax or tense? Do I feel expansion or contraction? That's your answer.
Step 5: Track Your Accuracy
You've had inner guidance beforeβyou just didn't recognize it.
Practice: Keep an Inner Guidance Journal. Write down your gut feelings, then note what actually happened. You'll see your accuracy is higher than you think.
Step 6: Start Small
Don't test your inner voice on life-or-death decisions. Build trust with low-stakes choices.
Practice: Use inner guidance for small things: which route to take, what to eat, who to call. Notice when you're right. Celebrate it.
Step 7: Act on Guidance (Even When It's Scary)
Guidance without action is useless. The more you act on your inner voice, the stronger it gets.
Practice: When you receive clear guidance, act within 24 hours. Don't wait for more certainty. Trust and move.

You Already Know
You don't need another book, another teacher, another guru to tell you what to do.
You already know. You've always known.
Your inner voice has been whispering the truth your entire life. You just learned to ignore it in favor of external validation.
It's time to come home to yourself. To trust yourself. To be your own authority.
The answers you seek are not out there. They're in here.
Listen. Trust. Act.
Your inner voice is the voice of your soul. And your soul knows the way.
This journey of returning to your own inner knowing is one of the most profound paths you can walk. When you cultivate that quiet stillness, you begin to meet yourself in a space far deeper than the chatter of the mind. The Void Whisper Audio is something I return to again and again in those moments of sacred silence, as it helps dissolve the noise and ease you into that receptive state. For tracking the quiet signals your body sends, the 30-Day Tarot Practice Workbook becomes a beautiful daily anchor for marking those small recognitions and insights. And when you're ready to deepen that conversation with your soul through symbolic reflection, the Tarot Journaling Prompts offer a gentle way to keep the dialogue alive. The Shadow Work Tarot has been invaluable for untangling the fears that once drowned out the whisper, helping me distinguish the voice of conditioning from the voice of truth. Finally, the Emotional Filter Ritual Kit provides a tangible way to clear the energy that accumulates from all that external noise, making space for your own clear signal to come through.
