The Body & Physical Healing Altar

The Body & Physical Healing altar is one of the most grounded and most practically oriented of the sixteen designs — an altar specifically designed to support the healing of the physical body and to deepen the practitioner's relationship with their own embodiment. Earth is the element of the body, and working with Earth's energy in the context of physical healing means working with the body's own deep intelligence — the wisdom that knows how to heal, that is always moving toward wholeness, and that is supported and amplified by the practitioner's conscious engagement with Earth's healing frequency.

The Body & Physical Healing altar works with deep green and brown alongside Earth's standard colors — deep green for the healing vitality of the living earth, brown for the stable, patient support of the element. Its crystals include bloodstone for physical vitality and the support of the body's healing processes, green calcite for the gentle, sustained healing energy of the earth, and shungite for the deep protective and purifying energy that supports physical health. Its botanicals include comfrey for the traditional healing herb of the earth, plantain for the body's resilience and healing capacity, and rosemary for the clarity and strength that physical healing requires.

The Ancestors & Roots Altar

The Ancestors & Roots altar is the most temporally expansive of the sixteen designs — an altar that opens the practitioner's connection to the long lineage of human beings who have lived on this earth before them, and to the deep wisdom that this lineage carries. Earth is the element of deep time — of the geological patience of mountains, the slow growth of ancient trees, and the long continuity of human life on this planet. The Ancestors & Roots altar works with this quality of Earth to create a space in which the practitioner can receive the wisdom, the support, and the blessing of their ancestors.

Ancestor altar elements include photographs of ancestors; objects that belonged to them; soil from a significant place in the family's history; and foods or offerings that the ancestors loved. Ancestor altar crystals include obsidian for the connection to the ancestral realm, petrified wood for the deep time of the earth and the long continuity of life, and apache tears for the honoring of grief and the healing of ancestral wounds.
