Moonlight Charging

Setting
Perform this ritual in the evening, ideally when the moon is visible. Phase 2: Full Moon Seeing — What Is Revealed (Third Eye)
Touch the rose quartz (Third Eye). The full moon's light reveals what has been in shadow. Write for five minutes on what this full moon is illuminating for you — what you can see now that you couldn't see at the new moon:
"What the full moon is showing me right now is... What I can see clearly that I couldn't see before is... What has been in shadow that is now visible is..."
Allow the rose quartz's loving energy to ensure that this seeing is compassionate rather than harsh. The full moon reveals — it does not judge.
Phase 3: Emotional Peak — What Is Feeling (Sacral)
Touch the amethyst (Sacral). The full moon amplifies emotion — this is the moment to acknowledge fully what has been building emotionally since the new moon. Write for five minutes without censoring:
"The emotion that has been building most strongly this lunar cycle is... What I have been feeling beneath the surface is... What my emotional body most needs to express right now is..."
Allow whatever arises to be written fully. The Sacral Chakra's full moon peak is the most powerful time for emotional honesty available in the monthly cycle.
Phase 4: Power Review — What Has Been Acted On (Solar Plexus)
Touch the carnelian (Solar Plexus). Review the intentions and actions of the lunar cycle. Write for five minutes on what you acted on and what you avoided:
"This lunar cycle, I acted with power when... I gave my power away when... The intention I set at the new moon was... What I actually did about it was... What I am proud of is... What I want to do differently next cycle is..."
This honest Solar Plexus review is the most practically useful writing of the entire ritual — it creates the accountability that makes intentions real rather than aspirational.
Phase 5: Voice and Truth — What Needs to Be Said (Throat)
Touch the yellow crystal (Throat). The full moon is the ideal time to speak what has been unsaid during the lunar cycle. Write for five minutes on what needs to be expressed before the cycle closes:
"What I haven't said this lunar cycle that needs to be said is... What I want to declare as true for the cycle ahead is... What I am ready to speak aloud is..."
After writing, read this section aloud — even quietly, even alone. The Throat Chakra's full moon release is completed by actual speech.
Phase 6: Release — What Is Ready to Go (Root + Sacral)
Touch the black obsidian (Root). The full moon is the most powerful time for release — the peak of the cycle is also the beginning of the waning, and what is released at the full moon is carried away by the waning moon's energy. Write for five minutes on what you are releasing as this cycle closes:
"I release [specific fear, pattern, belief, emotion, situation]. It has served its purpose. It is complete. I let it go with gratitude and without resistance. As the moon begins to wane, this release is carried away. It is done."
Be specific. The more precisely named the release, the more completely it can be let go.
Phase 7: New Moon Seed — What Is Being Called In (Crown)
Touch the clear crystal (Crown). From the perspective of your highest self, write the seed intention for the next lunar cycle — what you are calling in as the moon moves toward new:
"As this full moon closes and the cycle moves toward new, I plant the seed of... I call in... I am ready to receive... The intention I carry into the waning moon and toward the next new moon is..."
Closing (5 minutes)
Run your fingers along the spine from Crown to Root — sealing the ritual from the highest to the most grounded. State:
"This full moon ritual is complete. I have given gratitude, seen clearly, felt fully, reviewed honestly, spoken truly, released completely, and planted the seed of what is coming. I carry the full moon's energy with me as the cycle moves toward renewal. The crystals in this journal hold the moon's charge for the month ahead. And so it is."
Extinguish the candle. Close the journal. Place it in the moonlight overnight if you haven't already.
