Line 1 β Six at the Bottom: Rescued by the Strength of a Horse
He brings help with the strength of a horse. Good fortune.
The first line describes the very beginning of the dissolution. The ice is just starting to crack, and the danger of falling through the slush or getting stuck in the freezing mud of the abyss (Kan) is acute. The text adds an astonishing paradox: βDispersion leads in turn to accumulation. This is something that ordinary men do not think of.β Ordinary, small-minded people think that hoarding creates wealth. When a human body has a life-threatening, burning fever, the fever breaks only when the pores open and cold sweat pours out of the skin. Once the sweat flows, the fever dissolves, and the patient survives. Sweat cannot run back into the body; it is an irreversible discharge.

Instead of seeking revenge or lingering to fight the old enemy, they "dissolve their blood." They let the trauma wash away. They "depart, keep at a distance, and go out." They put miles between themselves and the toxic battlefield. By walking away from the cycle of violence completely, they avoid disaster. There is "No blame" in walking away from a feud that has caused enough bloodshed. Peace is won by leaving the arena.
