Justice Tarot Card: Karma, Balance & Truth
Share
After the Wheel of Fortune shows us the turning of fate and cycles, Justice appears as card number 11 in the Major Arcana—reminding us that the universe is fundamentally fair, that actions have consequences, and that truth will always be revealed. Where the Wheel represents the mysterious workings of destiny, Justice represents the clear, impartial law of cause and effect.
Justice is the card of karma, fairness, and accountability. It shows us that we live in a moral universe where balance is always restored, where truth prevails, and where we ultimately receive what we've earned—no more, no less.

Justice Card Imagery & Symbolism
The Sword (Right Hand) & The Scales (Left Hand)
In the right hand, Justice holds a double-edged sword pointed upward—representing truth, clarity, and the power to cut through deception. The sword is double-edged because truth cuts both ways. In the left hand, perfectly balanced scales represent fairness, equilibrium, and the weighing of actions and consequences. The scales don't care about excuses, only about the weight of truth.
The Two Pillars & Purple Veil
Like The High Priestess, Justice sits between two pillars representing duality, balance, and the gateway to truth. Behind her hangs a purple veil, suggesting that while Justice is impartial and clear, there are still deeper truths beyond what we can see.
The Number 11
Eleven is a master number representing higher consciousness, spiritual insight, and the balance between the material and spiritual realms. It's the number of karmic justice and divine law.

Justice's Lesson: Truth and Consequences
Justice teaches that we live in a moral universe governed by cause and effect. Every action has a consequence. Every choice creates karma. Every truth will eventually be revealed. We cannot escape accountability—we can only choose what we're accountable for.
The scales always balance. The sword always cuts to truth. What we put out, we get back. This is not punishment—it's simply how reality works.
Final Thoughts
Justice is the card of truth, fairness, and karmic balance. It appears when accountability is required, when truth needs to be spoken, or when you need to remember that the universe is fundamentally just—even when it doesn't feel that way in the moment.
