Metatron's Cube: The Most Powerful Sacred Geometry Grid Board
Of all the sacred geometry patterns used in crystal healing, Metatron's Cube is the most comprehensive, the most mathematically complex, and the most energetically powerful. It contains within its geometry all five Platonic Solids — the fundamental building blocks of three-dimensional form — making it a complete map of the mathematical structure of the universe. When you place crystals on a Metatron's Cube grid board, you are not simply arranging stones in a pretty pattern. You are aligning your intentions with the deepest mathematical order of creation itself.
The Complete Crystal Healing Set includes a 10cm Metatron's Cube grid board — one of the most practically useful and energetically significant pieces in the collection. This guide explains what Metatron's Cube is, why it is so powerful, and exactly how to use your grid board for crystal healing work.
Who Is Metatron?
Metatron is one of the most powerful archangels in Jewish and Christian mystical tradition — the angel of the presence, the celestial scribe, the keeper of the Akashic Records. In Kabbalistic tradition, Metatron sits at the top of the Tree of Life and serves as the intermediary between the divine and the human — the bridge between infinite consciousness and finite form.
The geometric figure associated with Metatron — Metatron's Cube — is understood in mystical tradition as the geometric template through which Metatron organizes the energy of creation: the mathematical pattern that underlies all physical form, from the subatomic to the cosmic.
Whether one approaches Metatron's Cube through the lens of religious mysticism, sacred geometry, or pure mathematics, the pattern itself is genuinely extraordinary — a figure of remarkable mathematical richness that contains within it virtually every other sacred geometry pattern.
The Geometry of Metatron's Cube
Metatron's Cube begins with the Fruit of Life — thirteen circles arranged in a specific pattern derived from the Flower of Life. When the center of each circle is connected to the center of every other circle with straight lines, the resulting figure is Metatron's Cube: a complex, multi-layered geometric pattern containing 78 lines.
Within this pattern, all five Platonic Solids can be found:
- The Tetrahedron (4 triangular faces) — Associated with fire and transformation
- The Cube/Hexahedron (6 square faces) — Associated with earth and stability
- The Octahedron (8 triangular faces) — Associated with air and integration
- The Dodecahedron (12 pentagonal faces) — Associated with ether/spirit and the cosmos
- The Icosahedron (20 triangular faces) — Associated with water and flow
The Platonic Solids are the only perfectly regular three-dimensional forms possible in Euclidean geometry — the only shapes where every face is identical, every edge is equal, and every vertex is equidistant from the center. Plato associated them with the five elements and understood them as the fundamental building blocks of physical reality. The fact that all five are contained within Metatron's Cube makes it the most geometrically complete sacred geometry pattern available.
Metatron's Cube also contains:
- The Flower of Life
- The Fruit of Life
- The Star of David (Merkaba)
- The Vesica Piscis
- Multiple instances of the Golden Ratio
It is, in a very real sense, the master pattern — the geometric figure that contains all other sacred geometry figures within it.
Why Metatron's Cube Is the Most Powerful Grid Board
Crystal grid boards come in many sacred geometry patterns: the Flower of Life, the Sri Yantra, the Seed of Life, simple geometric shapes. Each has its own energetic quality and its own applications. But Metatron's Cube is the most powerful for crystal grid work for several reasons:
Complete Elemental Coverage
Because Metatron's Cube contains all five Platonic Solids — associated with all five elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether) — a crystal grid built on Metatron's Cube works on all elemental dimensions simultaneously. No element is excluded, no dimension of reality is left unaddressed.
Maximum Amplification
The mathematical complexity of Metatron's Cube — its 78 lines, its multiple overlapping patterns, its nested sacred geometry figures — creates a more complex and more powerful energetic resonance than simpler patterns. The grid board amplifies the energy of the crystals placed on it more powerfully than any other sacred geometry pattern.
Universal Application
Because Metatron's Cube is the most comprehensive sacred geometry pattern, it is appropriate for virtually any intention. Where some grid patterns are specific to particular intentions (the Sri Yantra for abundance, the Seed of Life for new beginnings), Metatron's Cube works for everything — healing, manifestation, protection, spiritual development, relationship healing, abundance, clarity.
Angelic Connection
For those who work with angelic energy, Metatron's Cube provides a direct connection to Archangel Metatron — one of the most powerful angelic presences available for healing and spiritual development work. Invoking Metatron's presence when working with the grid amplifies its power significantly.
How to Use Your Metatron's Cube Grid Board
Understanding the Grid Points
The Metatron's Cube grid board has several key placement points:
- The center point — For the focal stone that anchors the grid's intention
- The six inner points — For the primary way stones that carry the grid's specific healing intention
- The six outer points — For amplifier stones or additional way stones
- The connecting lines — Where smaller stones or crystal chips can be placed to create a continuous energetic field
Building a Basic Metatron's Cube Grid
What you'll need from your collection:
- The Metatron's Cube grid board
- One center stone (amethyst cluster or clear quartz tumbled stone)
- Six inner stones (choose from your tumbled stones based on your intention)
- Six outer stones (clear quartz tumbled stones for amplification, or additional intention stones)
- Your written intention
Step 1: Set your intention
Write your intention on a small piece of paper. Be specific and positive: "I am abundant and prosperous" rather than "I want more money." Place the paper beneath the grid board.
Step 2: Cleanse the board and stones
Pass the selenite wand from your collection over the board and each stone. Visualize all accumulated energy clearing, leaving everything clean and ready.
Step 3: Place the center stone
Place your chosen center stone on the central point of the board. Hold it briefly and state your intention aloud: "I place this stone at the center of this grid. It anchors my intention: [state intention]."
Step 4: Place the inner stones
Arrange six stones on the inner points, moving clockwise from the top. As you place each one, state its contribution to the grid's intention.
Step 5: Place the outer stones
Arrange six stones on the outer points, again moving clockwise. Clear quartz on the outer points amplifies the entire grid.
Step 6: Activate the grid
Hold a clear quartz point (or your finger) over the center stone. Draw an invisible line of energy from the center to each inner stone, then from each inner stone to the adjacent outer stones, connecting the entire grid into a unified energetic circuit. State: "This grid is activated. It works continuously toward my intention. So it is."

The Lid as a Permanent Grid
One of the most beautiful features of the Complete Crystal Healing Set is that the Metatron's Cube pattern is also engraved on the interior lid of the wooden chest. This means the chest itself functions as a permanent crystal grid — the crystals stored inside are continuously organized and amplified by the Metatron's Cube geometry of the lid above them. Simply storing your crystals in the chest is a form of crystal grid work.
Invoking Metatron
For those who work with angelic energy, invoking Archangel Metatron when using the grid board amplifies its power significantly:
"Archangel Metatron, I invite your presence and your guidance as I work with this sacred geometry. Please amplify the energy of this grid and align it with the highest good of all involved. Thank you."
Whether or not you work with angelic energy, the intention of invoking the highest good — the most expansive, most loving, most aligned outcome — is always appropriate when working with Metatron's Cube.
