The Power of Ostara Spellwork
Ostara creates optimal conditions for two specific types of magic: manifestation spells that bring intentions into reality, and growth spells that accelerate development and expansion. The sabbat's position at the Spring Equinoxβwhen day and night are perfectly balanced and the Earth is bursting with new lifeβmakes it a powerful time for transformation. Before You Begin: Spell Basics
Essential principles: Intention is everything (clear, focused intention matters more than perfect execution). Cast Ostara spells between March 19-22 for maximum effect. Work only for highest good, never to manipulate or harm. Preparing: cleanse your space with rosemary or jasmine smoke, ground and center yourself, gather all materials before beginning, set clear intention.
Manifestation Spells
1. Egg Manifestation Spell
Write or draw your goal on a raw egg. Hold egg in both hands, visualize your goal as already achieved. Say: "Egg of potential, seed of life, manifest my goal without strife. As you return to earth below, my wish will sprout and grow and grow. By Ostara's power, balanced and bright, bring my intention into the light." Bury egg in garden or pot, plant seeds on top, water gently. As egg decomposes, intention manifests.
2. Seed Planting Manifestation
Light a green candle. Write your goal in present tense on paper, tear into small pieces, mix into soil. Hold seeds, visualize goal achieved. Say: "Seeds of spring, blessed by the Maiden, grow my goal, never fading. As you sprout and reach for sun, my manifestation has begun." Plant seeds, water while maintaining visualization. 3. Balance Manifestation Spell

Say: "Sweet as honey, my goal comes near, attracted by spring, it appears here. By Ostara's power, fertile and bright, manifest my wish with delight." Let candle burn completely. Shake jar daily while visualizing goal.
5. Vision Board Activation Spell
Place vision board on altar, arrange spring flowers and crystals (rose quartz or aventurine) around it. Light a green candle. Hold hands over board. Say: "Images of my future bright, activated by Ostara's light. What I see will come to be, manifested perfectly." Visualize each image as already real. Display vision board prominently and look at it daily.
Growth Spells
6. Rapid Growth Spell
Light a green candle. Hold fast-growing seeds (radish, lettuce, sprouts) and green aventurine or moss agate together. Visualize rapid growth in your chosen area. Say: "Seeds that sprout in days, not weeks, bring the rapid growth I seek. As you grow with speed and might, so my [goal] takes flight." Plant seeds with crystal in soil, water daily.
7. Personal Growth Spell
Light a pink candle. Place a mirror and rose quartz before you, arrange spring flowers around setup. Look in mirror. Say: "Maiden Goddess, young and bright, help me grow toward the light. As spring brings forth new life each day, I grow and bloom in every way. My best self emerges, strong and true." Hold rose quartz to heart, visualize yourself as your best self. Carry crystal as growth talisman.
8. Business/Project Growth Spell
Place your business card, product, or project symbol in center. Light a green candle (growth) and gold candle (success). Arrange aventurine or citrine and seeds around symbol. Say: "As spring brings growth to all the land, my [business/project] expands. Opportunities come with ease, success grows like sprouting trees. By Ostara's fertile might, my work flourishes in the light." Plant seeds as symbol of growth.
9. Relationship Growth Spell
Place two pink candles side by side, tie together with pink ribbon. Place rose quartz and spring flowers between them. Light both candles. Say: "As spring brings growth to all that lives, our love grows deeper, more it gives. Bound together, strong and true, our relationship blooms anew." Let candles burn completely. Keep ribbon and crystal together, give flowers to partner.
10. Abundance Growth Spell
Light a green candle. Place coins in bottom of a small pot, add soil, sprinkle basil and mint on soil, place green aventurine or citrine on top. Say: "Money grows like springtime flowers, abundance blooms with Ostara's powers. As seeds sprout and plants grow tall, prosperity answers my call." Plant fast-growing herb seeds (basil, mint), water while visualizing abundance.
Complete Ostara Spell (Manifestation + Growth)
Create altar with: decorated egg with your goal, seeds, pot with soil, green and pink candles, rose quartz and aventurine, spring flowers, honey. Light green candle (growth) and pink candle (manifestation). Hold decorated egg. Say: "Egg of potential, blessed by spring, manifest and grow the goal I bring. As I plant you in the earth, my intention comes to birth. Seeds I plant will grow and thrive, bringing my goal fully alive. By Ostara's balanced might, manifest and grow in light." Bury egg in pot, plant seeds on top, place crystals in soil, water with honey water (honey + water), arrange flowers around pot. Tend daily through spring and summer.
Spell Timing
Optimal timing: exact moment of equinox (most powerful balance point), dawn on equinox (new beginning spells), noon on equinox (maximum solar power for growth), March 19-22 (full equinox window). Moon phases: waxing moon is ideal for growth and increase; full moon amplifies all magic; new moon is powerful for new beginnings.
After Spellwork: Closing and Grounding
Thank the Maiden Goddess for her presence. State clearly: "This spell is complete. So it is." Close your circle if you cast one. Ground excess energy: eat something, drink water, place hands on earth, take a walk outside, rest and integrate.
Spell Safety and Ethics
Never cast spells to manipulate others' free will. Work only for highest good. Be specific about what you want. Trust the process and release attachment to outcome. Magic works with natural forces, not against them. Your intention and energy are the most important ingredients.
