The Pink Moon: April's Full Moon
The Pink Moon is April's full moon, named for the pink wildflowers (wild ground phlox or moss pink) that bloom in early spring across North America. Rising during the heart of spring when nature bursts into bloom, this moon carries the energy of new beginnings, hope, fertility, love, and joyful renewal. The Pink Moon appears when the earth is alive with color, when flowers bloom abundantly, and when life celebrates its return after winter's dormancy. It's a moon of blossoming, beauty, and the promise of growth.
This full moon illuminates a world transformed by spring—flowers blooming in pink, white, and yellow, trees covered in blossoms, birds singing, butterflies emerging, and life expressing itself in vibrant color. April is the month of full spring, when hope is tangible and renewal is everywhere. The Pink Moon invites us to bloom into our own beauty, to embrace new beginnings with hope, to open our hearts to love, and to celebrate life's fertility and abundance. Like wildflowers that carpet the earth in pink, this moon reminds us that beauty and growth are our natural state.
