What You Can Perceive
When scanning an aura, you might perceive:

Preparing to Scan
Ground and Center
Before scanning:
1. Establish your grounding cord
2. Center in your body
3. Clear your own energy field
4. Set intention to perceive clearly
5. Call in protection and guidance
Activate Your Hands
- Rub hands together vigorously for 30 seconds
- Hold hands 6 inches apart, palms facing
- Slowly move them closer and farther apart
- Feel the energy between them (tingling, warmth, resistance)

State your intention:

Basic Aura Scanning Technique
Hand Scanning Method
- Position: Person lying down or sitting, you standing beside them
- Start: Hold hands 6-12 inches above their body
- Scan: Slowly move hands over their body from head to feet
- Notice: What do you feel? Temperature? Texture? Density?
- Pause: When you feel something different (blockage, heat, cold, etc.)

Temperature changes:
- Hot spots = inflammation, excess energy, anger
- Cold spots = depletion, blockage, grief, fear
- Warm = healthy flow
- Cool = calm, balanced
Texture variations:
- Smooth = healthy, flowing
- Rough = irritation, friction
- Sticky = attachments, cords
- Slimy = toxic energy, illness
- Sharp = pain, trauma
Density differences:
- Thick/heavy = blockage, stagnation
- Thin/weak = depletion, holes in aura
- Bouncy/resilient = healthy boundaries
- Collapsed = no boundaries, overwhelm
Scanning Each Aura Layer
Layer-by-Layer Scanning
You can scan each of the seven aura layers separately:
- Start close to body (etheric layer)
- Scan at that distance all around body
- Move hands out 2-3 inches (emotional layer)
- Scan at that distance
- Continue moving outward through each layer
- Notice how each layer feels different
What Each Layer Reveals
Etheric (1/4-2 inches): Physical health, vitality
Emotional (1-3 inches): Emotional state, feelings
Mental (3-8 inches): Thoughts, beliefs, mental patterns

Scanning Chakras
Chakra Scanning Technique
- Hold hand over each chakra (3-6 inches away)
- Notice: Is it spinning? Which direction? How fast?
- Feel: Temperature, size, openness
- Sense: Color, health, blockages
- Compare: How does each chakra feel relative to others?
Healthy vs Blocked Chakras
Healthy chakra feels:
- Warm and flowing
- Spinning smoothly
- Open and expansive
- Clear and bright
- Balanced in size
Blocked chakra feels:
- Cold or excessively hot
- Stagnant or spinning erratically
- Closed or collapsed
- Dark or muddy
- Too small or too large
Developing Clairvoyance (Seeing Auras)
Seeing with Physical Eyes
- Have person stand against white wall
- Soften your gaze (don't focus hard)
- Look at the space around their head/shoulders
- You may see a faint outline or glow (etheric layer)
- With practice, you may see colors
Seeing with Inner Vision

- Close your eyes while scanning with hands
- Ask: "What color is this chakra/layer?"
