Smoky Quartz: The Transmuting Grounder

What It Is

Smoky Quartz is a variety of quartz colored by natural irradiation — exposure to radiation from surrounding rocks during formation produces the characteristic brown to black color by creating color centers within the quartz crystal structure. It ranges from pale, almost transparent brown to deep, nearly opaque black-brown, and it combines the amplifying properties of Clear Quartz with the grounding and transmuting properties of its dark color.

Shungite: The EMF Protector

What It Is

Shungite is a unique carbon-based mineral found almost exclusively in the Karelia region of Russia, near the village of Shunga (from which it takes its name). It is estimated to be approximately two billion years old — predating most life on earth — and contains a unique carbon structure called fullerenes (also known as Buckyballs): hollow, cage-like carbon molecules that have documented electromagnetic absorption properties. Shungite is the only natural mineral known to contain fullerenes.

Protection Mechanism

Shungite's protective mechanism is the most scientifically grounded of any crystal in the protection toolkit.
