Before You Begin

If possible, perform this meditation in direct sunlight — outdoors, or near a window where the sun can reach you. If sunlight is not available, light a gold or bright yellow candle and place it before you. Have something golden nearby — honey, marigold flowers, a piece of gold or citrine. Sit upright with your spine straight and your face slightly lifted — the posture of someone who is receiving the sun's light.

Take three deep, energizing breaths — not the slow breaths of relaxation, but the full, vital breaths of someone who is alive and ready. Feel your body filling with energy with each inhale. This is Sowilo's entry point: the vitality that is already present in you, waiting to be fully activated.

Ask yourself: where in my life has the solar energy been dimmed? Where have I been less than fully radiant, less than fully confident, less than fully alive? Part Three: The Victory

Say, either aloud or in your mind: "This victory is already mine. The solar power of Sowilo is already active in my life. Part Four: Healing with Solar Light
