The Abundance Blocks Spread: Clearing the Way to Flow

BY NICOLE LAU

In the Light Path tradition, genuine abundance is not something you create from nothing through sufficient effort and sufficient positive thinking. It is your natural state — the default condition of a being who is genuinely, joyfully, completely aligned with the universe's own fundamental generosity. The question is never whether abundance is available. It is always available. The question is: what is damming the river?

The Abundance Blocks Spread is designed to identify exactly what is blocking your genuine abundance flow — the specific beliefs, patterns, wounds, or habits that are preventing the natural, joyful, completely available flow of genuine prosperity from reaching you most completely — and to reveal the specific, practical, completely real path to clearing each block.

The Spread Layout

Arrange six cards along an abundance river:

Card 1 — The Natural Flow: What genuine abundance looks like when it is flowing most freely in your life — the specific quality of genuine prosperity, genuine material ease, or genuine financial freedom that is your natural state when nothing is blocking the river. This card names what you are clearing the way toward.

Card 2 — The Primary Block: The single most significant belief, pattern, wound, or habit that is currently most powerfully damming your abundance flow — the specific obstruction that, if cleared, would most dramatically open the river. Read with compassion: abundance blocks are almost always rooted in genuine past experiences of genuine scarcity.

Card 3 — The Root: Where the primary block comes from — the specific experience, the specific wound, the specific inherited belief or family pattern that created this particular dam. Understanding the root is not the same as being defined by it. It is the beginning of genuine clearing.

Card 4 — The Secondary Block: A second, less obvious abundance block that is contributing to the damming — often a subtler pattern that works in combination with the primary block to create a more complete obstruction than either would create alone.

Card 5 — The Clearing: The specific practice, action, or quality of genuine presence that will most powerfully clear the primary block right now — the particular way of dissolving the dam that is most genuinely available and most genuinely real in your specific situation.

Card 6 — The Flow: What becomes available — materially, energetically, and in terms of genuine aliveness — when the primary block is genuinely cleared and the abundance river flows most freely. This is what you are clearing the way toward.

How to Use This Spread

Before laying the cards, take a moment to genuinely feel into the abundance that is already present in your life — however small, however partial, however incomplete. Let genuine gratitude for what is already flowing be as real and as present as possible before you begin examining what is blocked. Gratitude opens the river. Resentment dams it further.

Shuffle while holding the question: show me what is most significantly blocking my genuine abundance flow and how to clear it most completely.

When reading Cards 2 and 3 together, look for the specific story — the particular narrative about money, worth, or abundance that was learned in childhood or through significant past experiences and is now operating as an invisible dam. The story is almost always more specific than it first appears.

Sample Reading

Natural Flow — Nine of Pentacles: Your natural abundance state is genuine, self-sufficient, deeply earned material prosperity — the particular ease of someone who is completely, joyfully at home in their own abundance and wears it as naturally as breathing.

Primary Block — Five of Pentacles: The primary dam is the scarcity consciousness of genuine past hardship — the particular, understandable belief that material difficulty is the default condition and that genuine abundance is temporary, fragile, or somehow not genuinely available to you.

Root — Four of Cups: The root of this block is a pattern of withdrawal from what is being offered — a learned tendency to focus on what is missing rather than receiving what is genuinely, completely available, rooted in past experiences of genuine disappointment.

Secondary Block — The Devil: The secondary block is a subtle attachment to the familiar discomfort of scarcity — the particular way that genuine abundance can feel threatening to someone whose identity has been shaped by genuine lack, creating an unconscious resistance to the very prosperity that is most genuinely desired.

Clearing — The Star: The clearing most available is the gentle, patient, completely trusting practice of genuine hope — of allowing the universe's most generous gifts to be received with the Star's own quality of open, receptive, completely available trust rather than the protective withdrawal of someone who expects disappointment.

Flow — The Empress: When the primary block is genuinely cleared, what flows is lush, abundant, completely natural material prosperity — the Empress's own quality of warm, generous, completely available earthly abundance that nourishes everything it touches.
