The Chariot Victory Ritual: Step by Step
Part 1: Opening Sacred Space (10 minutes)
Stand before your altar with determination and strength. Take three deep breaths, gathering your willpower in your solar plexus.
Place The Chariot card in the center of your altar. Arrange the candle, stones, symbols, and paper around it.
Light the candle, speaking:
"I light this flame to honor The Chariot,
Master of willpower, champion of victory,
Overcomer of obstacles, director of energy.
On this day, I harness my determination.
I focus my willpower.
I claim my victory.
I am ready to charge forward."
Part 2: Naming Your Obstacle (10 minutes)
Sit before your altar. Take your symbol of the obstacle and hold it in your hands.
Speak:
"This is the obstacle between me and my victory.
This is what I must overcome.
This is what stands in my way.
I see it clearly.
I name it now."
Name your obstacle aloud. Be specific. What exactly are you facing? What must be overcome?
Take your paper and write: "The Obstacle: [name it]"
Below, write what this obstacle has cost you, how it has held you back, why it must be overcome.
Place the symbol of your obstacle on the left side of The Chariot card. This is what you're moving away from.
Part 3: Claiming Your Victory (10 minutes)
Now take your symbol of victory and hold it in your hands.
Speak:
"This is my victory.
This is what I'm moving toward.
This is what I will achieve.
I see it clearly.
I claim it now."
Name your victory aloud. Be specific. What exactly are you achieving? What does success look like?
Turn your paper over and write: "The Victory: [name it]"
Below, write what this victory will give you, how it will change your life, why it matters.
Place the symbol of your victory on the right side of The Chariot card. This is what you're moving toward.
Part 4: Harnessing Opposing Forces (15 minutes)
Take the two stones in your hands. These represent the opposing forces within youβthe black and white sphinxes of The Chariot.
Speak:
"Within me are opposing forces.
Parts that want different things.
Energies that pull in different directions.
Like The Chariot, I harness both.
I direct both forward.
I control through willpower, not force."
Name your opposing forces. What parts of you are in conflict? What energies pull you in different directions?
Examples:
- Fear and courage
- Rest and action
- Caution and risk
- Logic and emotion
Hold both stones and feel your willpowerβthe golden light in your solar plexusβextending to both. You don't choose one over the other. You harness both. You direct both forward toward your victory.
Place both stones on The Chariot card, one on each side. They are now aligned, moving together toward your goal.
Part 5: The Charge Forward (10 minutes)
Stand before your altar. Embody The Chariotβarmored, crowned, victorious, determined.
Speak:
"I am The Chariot.
I charge forward with determination.
I overcome obstacles through willpower.
I harness opposing forces through mastery.
I claim victory through focused energy.
Nothing can stop me.
I am unstoppable."
Visualize yourself charging forward in your chariot. See the obstacle ahead. Feel your willpower intensifying. Watch as you break through the obstacle, shattering it, dissolving it, moving past it.
See your victory on the other side. Reach out and claim it. It is yours.
Take the symbol of your obstacle and either burn it safely, bury it, or throw it away. It is overcome. It is done.
Take the symbol of your victory and place it on your altar or carry it with you. This is yours now.
Part 6: Closing the Ritual (5 minutes)
Place your hand over your heart and speak:
"This ritual is complete.
My willpower is focused.
My obstacle is overcome.
My victory is claimed.
I am The Chariot.
I charge forward.
So it is."
Extinguish the candle or let it burn down safely. The ritual is complete.
