The Lovers Sacred Choice Ritual: Step by Step
Part 1: Opening Sacred Space (10 minutes)
Stand before your altar with openness and vulnerability. Take three deep breaths, centering yourself in the present moment.
Place The Lovers card in the center of your altar. Arrange the candles, stones, paper, and water around it.
Light the pink candle, speaking:
"I light this flame to honor The Lovers,
Masters of choice, keepers of union,
Guides of alignment, teachers of integration.
On this day, I choose consciously.
I align with my truth.
I integrate my whole being.
I am ready to choose."
Light the blue candle, speaking:
"This flame represents clarity and communication,
The awareness that makes choice possible,
The truth that guides alignment,
The integration that creates wholeness.
May I choose with awareness and speak my truth."
Part 2: Clarifying Your Choice (10 minutes)
Sit before your altar. Take your paper and pen. At the top, write: "The Choice Before Me"
Now write clearly what you're choosing between. Be specific. Name both options (or all options if more than two).
For each option, write:
- What this choice offers
- How it aligns (or doesn't) with your values
- What it requires of you
- How it feels in your body
As you write, hold one stone in each hand (or one stone for each option). Let each stone represent one choice.
When complete, place the stones on your altar, one on each side of The Lovers card.
Part 3: Aligning with Your Values (15 minutes)
Now turn the paper over. At the top, write: "My Deepest Values"
Write your core valuesβwhat matters most to you, what you hold sacred, what you will not compromise. Write at least five values.
Examples:
- Authenticity
- Love
- Freedom
- Growth
- Connection
When complete, read your values aloud. This is your truth. This is your alignment.
Now look at your choices again. Which choice aligns with these values? Which choice honors your truth?
Place your hand on the stone that represents the aligned choice. Feel it. This is your answer.
Part 4: Integrating Your Whole Being (10 minutes)
Stand before your altar. Place one hand on your heart, one hand on your belly.
Speak:
"I am mind and heart.
I am consciousness and being.
I am knowledge and life.
I integrate all parts of myself.
I choose with my whole being."
Close your eyes. Feel your mindβyour awareness, your clarity, your ability to discern. Then feel your heartβyour love, your truth, your ability to know what's right.
Ask: Does my mind and heart agree on this choice? Am I choosing with my whole being?
If yes, you are ready. If no, return to Part 3 and realign.
Part 5: Making Sacred Choice (10 minutes)
Take the stone representing your choice. Hold it in both hands.
Speak your choice aloud:
"I choose [state your choice].
I choose this consciously.
I choose this with alignment.
I choose this with my whole being.
This is my sacred choice.
This is my divine decision.
I choose."
Dip the stone in the water, blessing your choice. Place it on The Lovers card.
The other stone(s) represent what you're not choosing. Thank them for the possibility they offered, then remove them from your altar. Your choice is made.
Part 6: Receiving Divine Blessing (5 minutes)
Stand before your altar one final time. Raise your hands above your head, opening to receive.
Speak:
"I have chosen.
I have aligned.
I have integrated.
I now ask for divine blessing on this choice.
May the angel Raphael bless this decision.
May this choice serve my highest good.
May this path lead to divine union.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."
Feel the blessing descending upon you. Your choice is blessed. Your decision is sacred.
Part 7: Closing the Ritual (5 minutes)
Place your hand over your heart and speak:
"This ritual is complete.
My choice is made.
My alignment is clear.
My integration is whole.
I am The Lovers.
I choose consciously.
So it is."
Extinguish the candles or let them burn down safely. The ritual is complete.
