The Spiritual Gifts Spread: Recognizing Your Radiance
Share
BY NICOLE LAU
In the Light Path tradition, spiritual gifts are not special powers reserved for the chosen few. They are specific qualities of genuine light that every genuinely alive human being carries — particular capacities for genuine perception, genuine healing, genuine wisdom, genuine creative expression, or genuine compassionate presence that have been developed through the specific arc of your specific life and are now available to be offered in genuine, joyful service to the world.
The Spiritual Gifts Spread is designed to help you recognize your specific radiance — to see clearly what gifts you genuinely carry, how they want to be developed and expressed, and what genuine joy becomes available when your spiritual gifts are most completely, most joyfully, most genuinely offered.
The Spread Layout
Arrange six cards in a crown arc above a central space:
Card 1 — The Primary Gift: Your most fundamental spiritual gift — the specific quality of genuine spiritual perception, genuine healing capacity, genuine wisdom, or genuine compassionate presence that is most irreplaceably, most completely, most joyfully yours. This is your crown jewel.
Card 2 — The Hidden Gift: A spiritual gift you carry that you may not yet fully recognize or fully claim — a capacity for genuine spiritual perception or genuine service that has been present but undervalued, overlooked, or not yet fully developed. This card reveals what is waiting to be recognized.
Card 3 — The Development: How your spiritual gifts most want to be developed right now — the specific practice, study, or quality of genuine engagement that would most powerfully deepen and refine your spiritual radiance.
Card 4 — The Service: How your spiritual gifts most want to be offered in genuine service — the specific way of contributing your radiance to the world that is most genuinely aligned with your gifts and most genuinely needed by those you are here to serve.
Card 5 — The Shadow of the Gift: The specific shadow, the specific challenge, or the specific misuse that accompanies your primary spiritual gift — the way your gift can become distorted when it is expressed from fear, ego, or external locus rather than from genuine, joyful, completely grounded service. Read with compassion: every gift has a shadow.
Card 6 — The Radiance: What your spiritual gifts look like at their most completely, most joyfully, most genuinely expressed — the specific vision of genuine spiritual radiance that is available when your gifts are most fully recognized, most fully developed, and most fully offered in genuine service. This is your radiance.
How to Use This Spread
Before laying the cards, place both hands on your heart and take three deep breaths. With each breath, feel into the simple, unconditional truth: I carry genuine spiritual gifts. They are not performances or special powers. They are specific qualities of genuine light that I have developed through the specific arc of my specific life, and they are available to be offered in genuine, joyful service.
Shuffle while holding the question: show me my spiritual gifts and my radiance — what I genuinely carry and how it most wants to be expressed.
When reading Card 2 (The Hidden Gift), approach it with genuine curiosity and genuine openness. The hidden gift is often the one that feels most ordinary to you — so natural, so completely available, so simply present that you have not recognized it as a gift at all. The tarot sees what you have overlooked.

Shadow — The Moon: The shadow of your primary gift is the tendency toward confusion and illusion — the way deep intuitive wisdom can become distorted into projection, wishful thinking, or the confusion of genuine inner knowing with personal preference when it is not grounded in genuine, honest self-examination.
