Thursday is the natural day for this renewal: Jupiter's day, when the planet's energy of divine law and governance is most accessible and most potent.
The charging ritual for the Third Pentacle has a distinctive character compared to other Jupiter pentacle rituals. Where the Fourth Pentacle's ritual is accumulating and the Sixth Pentacle's ritual is declarative, the Third Pentacle's ritual is authoritative — it is the ritual of someone who is claiming their position as the immovable mountain and renewing their alignment with the divine authority that makes both protection and command possible.
What You Need
- Your Third Pentacle of Jupiter bracelet
- A blue or purple candle (Jupiter's colors)
- Frankincense incense (Jupiter's primary incense; also associated with divine authority and sacred space)
- A quiet space where you will not be interrupted
Optional additions that deepen the authoritative quality of the ritual:
- Black candle alongside the blue (for protection and the banishing of hostile forces)
- Dragon's blood incense (associated with authority, power, and the commanding of spirits)
- A piece of black tourmaline or obsidian (protective stones that support the Third Pentacle's shield function)
- A piece of lapis lazuli or sodalite (stones associated with Jupiter's wisdom and authority)
The Thursday Authority Ritual
- Begin during the Jupiter hour on Thursday. Light the candle and the incense. Take three slow, deep breaths. Feel yourself present, centered, and grounded.
- Hold the bracelet in both hands. Look at the seal. Let yourself become present to what you are holding: a seal specifically designed to protect you during spirit work and to compel the obedience of any spirit that appears before you.

- Speak the border verse. Say aloud: "They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever." Pause. Feel the quality of the immovable mountain. Let yourself genuinely inhabit that stability — not as a wish, but as a reality you are claiming.
- Activate the shield function. State clearly: "This seal protects me during all spirit work. I am as Mount Zion. I cannot be destabilized, deceived, or overwhelmed. I abide forever in divine authority."
- Activate the command function. State clearly: "This seal commands all spirits that appear before me. When I present this seal, immediate obedience follows. The divine authority encoded in this seal is greater than any spirit's resistance."
- Visualize both functions active. See the seal glowing with deep blue Jovian light. See yourself as the immovable mountain — stable, grounded, impossible to dislodge. See the spirits that might appear before you recognizing the seal's authority and submitting to it.
- Close the ritual. Say "So it is" or whatever closing phrase feels right. Put the bracelet on. Allow the candle to burn down if possible.
Before Spirit Workings
In addition to the weekly Thursday charging ritual, perform a brief activation before any spirit working:
- Hold the bracelet and speak the border verse
- State your intention for the working
- Affirm your position: "I am as Mount Zion. I cannot be moved. I proceed under divine authority."
- Begin the working from that position of grounded authority
