The Third Pentacle of Jupiter — Key of Solomon

This pentacle originates from the legendary grimoire of King Solomon, revered across Western occult traditions as a seal of Jovian power. The Third Pentacle of Jupiter serves a precise ceremonial function: it protects the practitioner during the summoning and manifestation of spirits, and when shown to any spirit that appears, compels their immediate obedience. Its border carries Psalm 125:1—“They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever.”—invoking the image of absolute, immovable stability as the foundation of the practitioner’s authority. This is a seal of protected command: the practitioner stands unshaken while the spirits that appear before them are brought to heel.

Magical Application & Ritual Use

Wear or hold this pentacle during any ritual involving the summoning or manifestation of spirits—particularly when working within the Jovian sphere. It functions on two levels simultaneously: as a shield that protects the practitioner from being destabilized or overwhelmed by the forces they call forth, and as an instrument of command that causes those forces to submit the moment the seal is presented. Before working with this seal, hold it and affirm your authority and intention clearly. Many practitioners align their work with the hour or day of Jupiter (Thursday) to maximize resonance. The dual-sided engraving allows personalization: inscribe your name or sigil on the front to claim the seal’s power, and a date or affirmation on the back to mark your magical commitment.

Integration into Practice

Incorporate this pentacle into evocation rituals as a protective anchor and instrument of command—wear it when you need to hold your ground against forces that resist, test, or attempt to overwhelm. Its energy is that of the immovable mountain: stable, authoritative, and impossible to dislodge. Among the Jupiter pentacles, this is the one most suited to the practitioner who requires both protection and dominion within the same working. Its durable gold-plated stainless steel construction ensures longevity through repeated energetic work and ritual use.
