The Fifth Pentacle of Saturn — Key of Solomon

This pentacle originates from the legendary grimoire of King Solomon, revered across Western occult traditions as a seal of formidable Saturnine power. The Fifth Pentacle of Saturn is the most explicitly protective of the seven Saturn seals—yet its protection operates entirely within a ritual context. Its recorded purpose is twofold: to shield the practitioner during nocturnal operations involving the summoning of Saturnine spirits, and to drive away the spirits that guard hidden treasures, clearing the path for the practitioner to access what lies concealed. This is not a talisman for everyday protection against misfortune—it is a ceremonial safeguard for those who work in dangerous spiritual territory.

Magical Application & Ritual Use

Wear or place this pentacle during rituals involving the summoning of Saturnine intelligences, particularly nocturnal operations where the practitioner requires protection from the forces they are engaging. It also serves as an instrument for dispersing guardian spirits—entities assigned to protect hidden knowledge, buried resources, or concealed power—allowing the practitioner to move past them unimpeded. Before working with this seal, hold it and state your intention clearly: whether for personal protection during evocation, or for the removal of spiritual obstacles standing between you and what you seek. Many practitioners align their work with the hour or day of Saturn (Saturday night) to maximize resonance. The dual-sided engraving allows personalization: inscribe your name or sigil on the front to claim the seal's power, and a date or affirmation on the back to mark your magical commitment.

Integration into Practice

Incorporate this pentacle into Saturn evocation rituals as a protective anchor, or use it in workings designed to clear spiritual gatekeepers from a path you intend to walk. It is best suited for experienced practitioners who operate within the Solomonic framework and understand that its protection is active and contextual—not passive or general. Its durable gold-plated stainless steel construction ensures longevity through repeated energetic work and ritual use.
