The Fifth Pentacle of Venus — Key of Solomon

This pentacle originates from the legendary grimoire of King Solomon, revered across Western occult traditions as a seal of Venusian power. The Fifth Pentacle of Venus operates through immediate and visceral effect—its recorded purpose is to wonderfully excite and inflame love in any person to whom it is shown. Its border text evokes the image of a heart melting like wax, capturing the quality of feeling this seal is designed to produce: not a slow cultivation of affection, but a sudden ignition. Scholars note that different manuscript traditions cite varying Psalm verses for its border, reflecting the living, contested nature of the grimoire tradition itself. This is the Venus series' seal of passion—designed to kindle desire, intensify existing feeling, and set emotional temperature rising.

Magical Application & Ritual Use

Wear or carry this talisman when seeking to ignite passion—whether to awaken desire in another, deepen the intensity of an existing connection, or rekindle warmth that has cooled. Where the Third Pentacle draws love and the Fourth compels approach, the Fifth inflames feeling itself—working at the level of emotion and desire rather than action or proximity. Before working with this seal, hold it and state clearly whose heart you seek to move and in what direction. Many practitioners charge the pentacle during the hour or day of Venus (Friday) to align with its full potency. The dual-sided engraving allows personalization: inscribe your name or sigil on the front to claim the seal’s power, and a date or affirmation on the back to mark your magical commitment.

Integration into Practice

Incorporate this pentacle into passion rituals, desire workings, or carry it when seeking to intensify the emotional current between yourself and another. Among the five Venus pentacles, this is the one that works most directly on feeling itself—less about drawing someone near and more about making the heart burn. Its durable gold-plated stainless steel construction ensures longevity through repeated energetic work and ritual use.
