The Fourth Pentacle of Venus — Key of Solomon

This pentacle originates from the legendary grimoire of King Solomon, revered across Western occult traditions as a seal of Venusian power. The Fourth Pentacle of Venus is the most forceful of the five—its recorded purpose is to compel Venusian spirits to obey, and to cause any person the practitioner designates to come to them immediately. Its border carries Genesis 2:23–24: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh… and they shall be one flesh.” This is not a seal of gentle attraction or harmonious love—it is an instrument of compulsion, designed to override distance and resistance and draw a specific person into the practitioner’s presence by force of Venusian command.

Magical Application & Ritual Use

This pentacle is intended for operations requiring the direct compulsion of a specific individual—causing them to seek out the practitioner, close physical or emotional distance, or return after separation. Where the Third Pentacle draws love through attraction, the Fourth drives approach through command. Before working with this seal, name the person and the nature of the compulsion with absolute clarity. Many practitioners align their work with the hour or day of Venus (Friday) to maximize resonance with the Venusian spirits being commanded. The dual-sided engraving allows personalization: inscribe your name or sigil on the front to claim the seal’s power, and a date or affirmation on the back to mark your magical commitment.

Integration into Practice

Incorporate this pentacle into workings designed to compel a specific person’s presence, accelerate reunion, or override the inertia keeping two people apart. Among the five Venus pentacles, this is the one that operates with the least subtlety and the most direct force—suited for practitioners who require results, not persuasion. Its durable gold-plated stainless steel construction ensures longevity through repeated energetic work and ritual use.
