Scrying: Complete Guide to Crystal Ball & Mirror Divination
Share
By Nicole, Founder of Mystic Ryst
Scrying is an ancient divination practice of gazing into a reflective surface—crystal ball, black mirror, water, or flame—to receive visions, messages, and insights. By entering a trance-like state and gazing softly at a scrying medium, you open your psychic vision to see images, symbols, or scenes that provide guidance about past, present, or future. Scrying has been practiced for thousands of years by seers, oracles, and mystics.
The word "scrying" comes from the Old English word "descry," meaning "to make out dimly" or "to reveal." When you scry, you're not seeing with your physical eyes but with your third eye—your psychic vision. The reflective surface acts as a portal, allowing your subconscious and intuition to communicate through images and symbols.
This is your complete guide to scrying—what it is, methods, how to scry, and developing your vision.
